I am a recently retired teacher who is looking to help students with their studies. I am an outgoing person who loves helping people to reach their full potential. I will work with you to consider your strengths and your weaknesses and then prepare lessons to meet your particular learning styles / needs

Tutoring Experience

I have been a teacher for 20 years with examiner experience working for all of the big exam boards. I have examined all the way from Key stage 3 science, GCSE Chemistry and physics as well as to A-level Chemistry. I know what the exam board are looking for. I have also been a part time tutor for over 20 years so have experience in working one to one and online.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is to consider where each student is at and then to look for gaps in their knowledge. Once the gaps have been identified, I then plan a pathway to maximise both enjoyment for the subject and deep learning. By doing this the student then makes progress and confidence grows enabling them to feel more confident in their approach.
