You could say the path to where I am now (studying a PhD in Quantum Computing) has been a linear progression (apologies for the bad maths pun!). I studied Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics at A-level, before pursuing an integrated master's degree in Mathematics. From there I was first introduced to the weird and wonderful world of quantum physics, which is where I still am today for my PhD.

I believe in openness and honesty with my tutees, as well as having fun and keeping the tuition interesting and light-hearted!

Tutoring Experience

I have over 8 years of tutoring experience, both online and offline, and I love it. Nothing is more rewarding than being able to share your knowledge and allow others to reach their true potential!

I am a mathematician by training, with over 8 years of specialised mathematics experience. From A-level, to Undergraduate level, to Master's and now PhD I have seen a lot of maths, including publishing my own research papers.

Tutoring Approach

I have tutored Mathematics at all levels, from KS3 right through to leading university mathematics modules (both online during covid and in-person). Most recently I have adapted the online tutoring formalism, joining an online video call (the student needn't put their camera on unless they wish to) and I simultaneously share my iPad screen. Informed from which areas the student what like to cover, we will do a brief recap of the topic of interest (along with associated formulae/methods etc.) before diving into to go through as many different types of potential question as possible.
