Modern Foreign Languages graduate from the University of Durham.
I have tutored students of various ages, ranging from primary school children to A-level students. I also ran my university's language outreach project, where I coordinated events at cinemas, town halls, and galleries, and organized and taught weekly classes. These classes were aimed at students from disadvantaged schools, providing them with language education to help them achieve top grades. Additionally, I have tutored GCSE students both in person and remotely, and it is incredibly rewarding to see their progress.
My teaching approach is tailored to each student's unique needs, as language learning is not a linear or replicable process. It depends on what the student excels at, considering that language is multifaceted, involving speaking, listening, writing, and reading. I emphasise understanding grammar by breaking it down into easily digestible parts. Once the student learns the vocabulary, we apply it to the grammatical structures, enabling rapid improvement. This personalised method ensures that each student can progress effectively and confidently in their language skills.
