I have a degree and doctorate both from the University of Oxford. I studied metallurgy and science of materials which involves both physics and chemistry as well as quite a lot of maths all of which I now use in my tuition.
I am offering online tuition using Zoom, which works very well. A number of students, who said they wanted face to face lessons, have tried online lessons and been very happy with them and decided to continue online. I am now also offering face to face lessons in my home to students who have received their Covid vaccine
I have twenty years experience as a private tutor and I have helped several hundred students improve their understanding and improve their grades. Many of my students come from personal recommendations from previous students or their parents. I have sometimes taught members of the same family for up to ten years.
I was previously a university lecturer teaching engineering students. My lectures were consistently highly rated.
The advantage of private tuition is that I can tailor each lesson to meet the needs of the student. I always start by asking if there is anything they want to do or need help with. I can almost always answer any questions they have without need for preparation.
I ensure that I always keep up to date with changes in the syllabus so that we are studying exactly the topics they require. As the exams approach I spend much of the time going through past papers to improve their exam technique.
