I am a science teacher at a school in Kensal Rise, but live in Dartmouth Park. We hope that is not the case and we will continue to work with them through to their exams in June.
I am available for tutoring in the Tufnell park area, either socially distanced or I have extensive experience of using google classroom and Zoom for remote learning. I find that talking through the syllabus and exam questions, even via the internet using visualizers to show and work through examples, has helped all of my students from Yr8 up to Yr13.

Tutoring Experience

My specialty is chemistry, which I teach at GCSE and A level as I have a masters in organic chemistry from Cambridge. I also tutor physics up to GCSE. I have been doing lots of one on one support in my school for Yr11 and Yr13 with their upcoming mock exams, which may be the only exams they sit if the situation of last summer returns. We hope that is not the case and we will continue to work with them through to their exams in June.

Tutoring Approach

It is important to talk - firstly about where in the course the student is, and what problems they are having. From this I can put together bespoke lessons aimed at resolving any issues and then then we can begin teaching. I greatly prefer teaching face to face as we can resolve problems and check understanding very quickly, but I also have extensive practice at teaching online via google classroom using a visualiser to work through problems.
