My children only had a couple of lessons with Melanie, therefore unable to benefit from her experience. From the brief interaction, which could not be extended due to travel and personal reasons, it was apparent Melanie seems to be passionate about her work.

I found Melanie to be highly motivated, passionate and professional in her approach to my 11 year old Daughter schooling. I have every confidence that my girl will be in a position to pass her entrance exam at Bradford Grammar in January 2022.

My son really likes her and she is good with him would highly recommend

First lesson yesterday… amazing! Brought out the best in him instantly. Made him feel at ease. Totally approachable. Given the years of struggle, there is light at the end of the tunnel… none of us could even see the tunnel before!

Melanie is an excellent professional and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to improve their English skills. However, you will need to be very specific on your needs before contacting the teacher. Basically, I believe that a teacher are supposed to accommodate the academic, social, and emotional needs of their students. So be clear of what your needs are before contacting your teacher.

Melanie has been great with my son in preparation for his GCSEs, she truly knows her subject and how to teach it. My son said one of the docements he’d completed early on really helped him remember quotes for his exam. When I asked him for his own feed back, he scored her very highly.

Thank you so much Melanie for helping Vinnie with so little time to spare before his exams. I wish I’d have found you sooner!

Engaged our 15year old son brilliantly with GCSE English. He looks forward to his tutor time and feels that Melanie explains tricky things well. This is definitely starting to build his confidence.

I found Melanie to be very approachable and had a great connection and understanding of my children's requirements. I think that she will be able to assist them with their studies towards their English A level and GCSE exams, although it is a little early to say. Melanie had good communication and was very punctual and seems to have a very good knowledge of English language.

A great tutor and a delight to study with. Melanie's amazing academic skills have helped me produce high standard assignments. Melanie has motivated me to work harder alongside, boosting my confidence and knowledge to go on further. Highly recommended! :)

Melanie had no problems accommodating our request for short term tuition for AS English Literature. She is very friendly and down to earth, able to communicate easily and getting the point across in a way a teenager understands. Melanie also shares her vast range of materials and resources readily (you will need a memory stick though).

Great communication and responded promptly within hours of contacting her.

I have been really pleased with the quality of tuition provided by Melanie for my son, who is studying for A level English. She has really gone the extra mile to help him, being in contact throughout the week to provide additional resources and assistance. We could not have asked for more, and would definitely recommend her.

Melanie provides excellent tuition. She has a thorough understanding of English/Literacy and is able to communicate this in a simple, easy-to-understand way. Melanie has a range of materials which she is always willing to share and consequently goes ‘the extra mile’ to support her students.

Good source material and my son has more confidence and greater awareness of exam technique since having tuition with Melanie. Is able to offer guidance for both Eng Lang and Lit which is most useful.

Since James first visited Melanie his work has come on in leaps and bounds. He looks forward to his classes and shows an enthusiasm to learn that I had not seen before in James.

Her approach to teaching seems good, however, due to distance my daugther was unable to continue with her. Good luck in your work.

Melanie is a person with a lot of knowledge about English language (linguistic) and she fulfills what I need for writing academic essays at the Master's degree level by providing me a variety of useful ideas and good explanations.
I'm sure she is the most resourceful tutor to study with.

Melanie responded to our request almost immediately. We had 2 lessons with her so far. My daughter absolutely loves having lessons with Melanie. Her enthusiasm for English is infectious. We are very glad to have found Melanie.

I wasn't in the lessons that my son had with Melanie, but for someone who doesn't like his lessons at school, he enjoyed that hour with Mel. He said she explained things in a way that made it easy for him to understand but she also checked that he'd understood properly, not just took his word for it.

Sorry for the late feedback Mel but I was hoping to wait till the results came out. Lets hope his results are reflected in the hard work you put in. Will let you know how he gets on.

Outstanding. I really didn't believe that progress could be made in such a short time period. I have two children and we have lived in France for 7 years. Now that they are back in England we have noticed that the basic levels of English curriculum understanding is very patchy. Within five weeks, Melanie has already patched over these holes in information. Ryan is 9 years old and preparing for his 11* in November. He was achieving only 33% in practice papers. Since tutoring, he is now achieving 85-90%. My other son is 15 and undertaking his GCSE's. His coursework grade was B/C - he is now achieving A and could even get an A*. Both my sons are very happy with Melanie and are thriving on her ethos of praise and encouragement. I would strongly recommend her.

Melanie is inspirational and enthusiastic.My son Dan has built up a good working relationship and is really enjoying the extra study. We have definately found an excellent tutor first time round.

Melanie is very helpful and is easy to talk to about my child's work and development. My daughter has had 2 visits so far and is progressing very well with the work.

Melanie was a fantastic and enthusiastic tutor who helped my son understand what was being asked in the question rather than simply telling him the answer. After Melanie's help he was able to complete the question on his own. Melanie seemed to motivate him into wanting to do well and he even went on to do A-Level English Language!
