Hi, I'm Megann!
My interests include musical theatre, crochet, true crime documentaries, and above all else, literature! Due to this, I love helping fuel that passion within young people.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Masters's in Criminology and Criminal Justice and am a Secondary English teacher trainee.
I have been a Teaching Assistant for the past year in an SEN Primary setting so have a solid understanding of the core foundations of teaching, particularly English.
I am qualified in BSL Level 1 and TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language).
I am currently a Teaching Assistant in an SEN Primary setting and have been for the past year. This has allowed me hands-on experience in teaching the core foundations of a subject.
I have previous experience in tutoring high school students in a variation of subjects, particularly English and Psychology.
I tailor my lessons to the needs of the student based on their strengths and weaknesses.
Generally, my hour-long lessons are based on the practical application of skills such as textual analysis or recall-based activities such as revision cards/mind-map making. I aim to take a creative approach with my lessons as I understand that simply making notes can be rather boring.
