I am offering Geography tutorial sessions in-person across West Sussex at Key Stages 3-5 (including GCSE and A-Level) and can also offer more advanced sessions for undergraduate students. I am a personable and kind individual who you will feel safe with to explore new or daunting concepts and prepare for any upcoming exams. I am extremely passionate about Geography and this will colour our sessions together!

Tutoring Experience

I hold an MSc in Coastal and Marine Resource Management and a BSc in Geography (Hons) and I’m extremely knowledgeable in the field. I have also worked in the environmental industry for several years and can provide additional expert knowledge from this. Having real-world experience allows me to provide tangible evidence and examples which supports the learning content and provides an advanced layer of information to boost understanding and grades. I have experience managing and mentoring others and I am great at presenting and explaining difficult, complex concepts in a way that is understandable to all.

Tutoring Approach

My goal is to tailor the approach to each student, so tutorials can be varied; helping students improve their confidence and grasp subject content and/or important exam preparation, including structuring of questions, knowledge of command words and ability to hit assessment objectives. I will work with each individual student/parent to understand your goals for employing a tutor and plan lessons accordingly. Lessons will be engaging and suitable for the student and will work in tandem with taught content in their school. I ask that before each lesson you are able to send me the material you wish to study or go over so that I can plan in advance.
