Md Jahirul

Jahirul has been an excellent and enthusiastic teacher for my son who sometimes finds some of the theoretical concepts behind economics difficult to get to grips with. He has a personable manner, and we find his weekly lessons invaluable.

Jahir has been an incredible tutor over the last year, helping me to learn the entire A-level economics course in an interesting and enjoyable way. Not only did we go through all the theory and knowledge, Jahir helped me to apply it and evaluate in detail. He helped me analyse economic policies and problems critically, talking me through arguments and evidence so that I could reach judgements and form my own conclusions based on evaluation. Jahir was also more than happy to go outside the a-level course with me, and we would discuss a breadth of economic ideas. This enhanced my passion for the subject and helped me develop my understanding of economic ideas. Not only did Jahir give constructive and detailed feedback on my essays, but also through discussion my ability to express ideas orally was improved massively, vital for interviews and taking my studies further. With his background teaching at the university, Jahir has also been very helpful in giving advice on my university choices, encouraging me to continue the study of economics to higher levels and giving me the confidence to achieve more. By the end of the year I felt very well prepared for my exams and they went well. Learning through discussion has always been the most useful for me and Jahir has helped my learn far more than I initially thought I would. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
