I currently work as an investment analyst at Lane Clark & Peacock, sitting my CFA Level 2 in May. I also do part-time proofreading for university-level English & Philosophy.

As a recent graduate of Durham University, I achieved a first class degree with honours in English Literature & Philosophy. Previously, during my time at RGS Guildford, I obtained an A* in A-Level English Literature, a D1 in Pre-U Philosophy & Theology - and was awarded prizes for the highest mark in both subjects - and an A in Maths. In addition, I achieved 10 A*s in my GCSEs - including an A* in Maths, which I took a year early.

At school, I was a scholar, prefect, senior mentor and 2nd XV rugby captain. Similarly, at university, I was the rugby social secretary and social football captain. Currently, in my free time, I enjoy playing chess and travelling.

Tutoring Experience

I am an NCVO qualified mentor and I have tutored a number of students, in disciplines ranging from Primary to University. I have worked with FirstTutors for over two years and I am yet to receive feedback below 5*s. Previously, I was utilised by RGS Guildford to tutor younger students who were struggling with their education.

I have a genuine passion for teaching and, having progressed through the academic world recently, I am very familiar with what students need to know. Not only does this put me in a great position to help students thrive in their studies, but it also motivates me to see them succeed.

Tutoring Approach

I take a pragmatic approach to tutoring, having followed this same approach during my studies. Accordingly, my teaching will revolve around illuminating the best ways to succeed in a given subject area/ qualification.
