Hey, I'm Max! I'm an undergraduate Bioscience student at Durham with several years tutoring experience for volunteer charities and family friends. I have a particular interest in Medicine, Conservation and Sport and am currently considering Graduate-entry Medicine. Tutoring Experience

I have tutored for several students on a wide range of subjects in the past - most recently with (I)GCSE Maths and Biology. I also volunteer tutor for DUSVO and previously for SPEAR, an effective London based charity aimed at interview prep. Alongside my grades, I have a wealth of tutoring experience and nuanced exam technique advise.

Tutoring Approach

My approach focuses on active recall of information and efficiency of learning. Before sessions I provide information on note-taking and identify the students weaker areas then, during the session, I proceed with working through practice questions (with occasional theory) to ensure understanding. Finally, to build confidence and promote active recall I guide the student as they undertake the practice questions I provide - as this is proven the most effective way to learn.
