I am a passionate maths teacher who successfully taught GCSE and A-Level maths for over 10 years. I have a Computer Science degree and have recently completed a Maths degree at Sussex University, achieving a First and graduating top of my cohort.
I have taught for over 10 years and spent 5 of those years as Assistant Head of Department, with responsibility for coordinating A-Level maths. My classes were consistently top performers in the school and I led A-Level maths to great exam success.
I believe that tutoring is best when the student is fully engaged in the subject matter - for example, students need to understand why they are learning what they are learning, both holistically and in relation to other sections of the maths curriculum. The most successful students see links between different topics in maths and use these links to reinforce their understanding.
