I’ve always been very passionate about Mathematics from an early age and the more I can share that with others the better. Some of my hobbies include reading, chess and working on my home. I also live a very active lifestyle with having a husky and training at my local gym 5 days a week and 1 day a week running the school gym.
I’m currently deputy Head of Maths at my school. This is due to the hard work myself and the department have put into the school to become the best department. Giving the school the best scores they have ever had. As part of my role I’m in charge of all of KS3 (year 7-9) attainment and have to regularly show my progress to the headteacher.
I’ve done tutoring for years now and many referrals from past parents due to the success of their child.
The school can be very challenging in regards to behaviour and I believe the best way to improve this is consistency, including building relationships with the students and parents/guardians and enforcing highly competent strategies for behaviour management. Due to my consistency with support, behaviour and a great work ethic the students are now above target.
