Enthusiastic and dedicated, I enjoy helping students realise their potential in a positive and calm manner. I think its important that students feel confident and I have often found that this is the basis for enabling exceptional progress.
I have a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages (French and Spanish) and I graduated with a First Class honours in International Relations. Due to my exceptional critical writing skills, I also recevied the award for excellence in Politics & International Relations.
I currently homeschool my own children and have been amazed at how the 1-1 support has built their self esteem when learning new things. I therefore wanted to expand this and help other students gain such confidence through online tutoring.
I have 5+ years of teaching experience including online tutoring. I have taught both French and Spanish to GCSE and English and History up to KS3 (Year 7-9).
I take a structured and scaffolded apparoach to lessons. Firstly, I take the essential step of assessing the level of the student in order to establish a curriculum which fosters student progress. My lessons take a scaffolded approah whereby I may begin with basic areas then gradually increase in difficulty in order to develop student confidence and gauge progress.
