Martin is very calm, helpful and has good pedagogy. He provides homework if needed and is open to working on school work/exam workbooks as well. My eldest was helped by Martin for his gcse math and it really helped! Martin now helps my youngest entering year 8. I can recommend!

Martin taught our son for 6 months for Maths and Chemistry. Our son is dyslexic and needed that extra help to carry him towards his GCSE’s. I couldn’t recommend him enough. He has a way of teaching that is very thorough but kept fun and lighthearted. His help has made all of the difference in our sons ability to pass.

Martin is providing Computer Science tutoring for my son for GCSE and he is really enjoying his lessons. He also provided some support for my daughter who is taking A Level Maths which was a godsend! Tim had been out of education for 6 years and was given the opportunity to go to university to study Robotics. Thanks to your time spent tutoring Tim he not only enjoyed a stress free foundation year on his course, he got a FIRST for his calculus module and is proceeding with his degree.

I've been really pleased with Martin's work with my son. He is tutoring him in triple science and my son has commented on how Martin is really interested and knowledgeable on the subject. He said that he gets the impression Martin watches science documentaries for a hobby so has interesting examples to explain the subject and the two seem to chat very comfortably together through the class. My son seems to be really enjoying the sessions and Martin manages to keep my son's focus and attention for the whole time. Martin seems really well prepared, is very professional in his approach and gives relevant homework each week.

Martin has been a huge help to our daughter preparing for her AS level maths. He was encouraging from the outset and gave our daughter confidence whilst focusing on areas which she identified as her weak points. She found him very jolly and felt at ease immediately. We are very grateful to Martin.

Martin has tutored me in Maths, English, science and computer science, I have enjoyed my lessons with him and have gained knowledge on many subjects not included in the four main subjects. He has also helped me iron out my career plan with guidance and advice. I would highly recommend Martins services too anyone of any age.

Martin continues to be an excellent tutor for my twin boys. He understands how to pace and adapt his lessons according to their differences and needs and has a good, trusting relationship with them. They are both coming along in maths and science very well. He's clearly passionate about his subjects and this translates well in his lesson plans, keeping up to date with global science events while laying a good foundation in the basics of both subjects.

My daughter has had her first Maths lesson with Martin who is charming, Leah felt very comfortable with his style of teaching and is looking forward to her next lesson. A real asset to First Tutors and we are glad we found him. Thank you .
