I am an Oxford University educated Chemistry and Biology teacher of 25 years' standing, currently living near Ludlow, Shropshire, UK.
Update: October 2024
I am now fully booked evenings and weekends (UK time), but have some availability mornings (UK time) which might suit students with study periods during the day or overseas students
I have taught Chemistry and Biology in some leading state secondary and top independent senior schools.
I specialise in the teaching of Chemistry at post-16 level including entrance to universities in the UK but also teach at GCSE and IGCSE level.
I have worked with students from across the world including Europe, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, India, Nigeria and Brazil as well as the UK.
My students have successfully gained entry to Oxford, Cambridge and other Russell Group universities reading chemistry, biochemistry, medicine and veterinary sciences.
As a Sixth Form tutor, I have also provided help with numerous UCAS personal statements and interview preparation in a wide range of subjects.
Please note that the fees include all planning and preparation for lessons as well as any marking of work supplied by the student.
I have offered tutoring for several years, primarily to students seeking to improve their performance at Scholarship, GCSE, A-Level and IB. My tutees have achieved higher grades thanks to my intervention and gone on to enjoy much success in their chosen areas of study.
I have a detailed knowledge of all current GCSE, IGCSE, A level, IAL and IB specifications.
I can work on a one-to-one, group or online basis and specialise in delivering a friendly, collaborative approach to learning - improving confidence with exam technique as well as increasing subject knowledge.
All lessons are planned for individual students based on their specific needs and using current exam specification and exam questions. Planning and preparation is included in the fee.
