I'm a fully qualified (QTS with maths and science as a specialty) primary school teacher. I currently teach in a prep school in Chelsea and have taught in surrounding areas for 25 years. I tutor for 10+, 11+, maths and English. In addition I also run booster sessions to speed up learning in specific subjects. I have had many successes in supporting children pass their entrance exams allowing them maximum choice of schools.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in building confidence when teaching through a gentle, nurturing approach and ensuring a strong grasp of key concepts before moving on to more advanced challenges.
My approach has been described as calm and sensitive to the needs of the children.
I use a variety of methods including paper based activities, hands on problem solving activities to develop reason skills (for verbal and non-verbal reasoning) and computer based (atom learning) to develop strategies and confidence as many schools now use this method to test children for entry.
