My main motivations are to help students fulfil their potential and get the highest possible grade in the subject they need help with. I've got a 2:1 from the University of Bristol in Economics and Management, and began my career in finance, working for Barclays.
Have tutored children of different backgrounds / circumstances, helping D grade students turn to B/A grade students in a relatively short period of time.
Having achieved A*AAA at the UKs highest rated grammar school (QE Boys), and getting into my first choice university for an extremely competitive course, I can help students set themselves up for success when it comes to exam preparation and performance.
Prior to any lesson, I like to understand what the student would like to cover and what they'd like to achieve from the time we spend together. I focus on what the student struggles with and understand why that particular issue exists. From there, I will practice with the student to ensure that this issue has been successfully tackled. Understanding the root cause behind why they're struggling with a topic will help me provide the right solution and ensure that the lesson is productive.
