I am an enthusiastic scientist with over 7 years of experience in academia and expertise in Molecular Biology, Development, Evolution, and Nutrition. I am currently a Teaching Fellow at the University of Aberdeen and I have a lot of teaching experience in Higher Education contexts. Plus, being originally from Italy, I can help with conversational Italian!
I have over 7 years of teaching experience within university setting and I'm Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I delivered lectures and tutorials to entire classes and provided one-on-one supervision. Additionally, I have successfully tutored students to help them pass their exams.
My teaching approach is flexible and responsive to different contexts, but one constant remains: students are at the heart of everything. I employ a student-centered approach based on individual needs to create an inclusive and active learning environment. Central to my teaching strategy is the importance given to feedback, not only as an assessment tool but also as a way for facilitating the learning process.
