Hello, my name is Marie and I am a French native speaker. I have lived in the UK for 20 years and hold degrees in English, Translation and Interpreting. I have a passion for languages, which has led me to become a film translator and more recently to go back to teaching French.
Over the years, I have taught English and French as foreign languages to students from various backgrounds, such as GCSE-level, adult learners and University-level. For several years, I taught English-French Public Service Interpreting at London Metropolitan University.
I adapt to the student's needs by first carefully assessing them, then by tailoring each lesson to their progress. My aim is to make a lesson as fun as possible and to centre the learning experience around practical examples that will not only help the student progress in their understanding of the language but will also give them a useful glimpse of the French culture in general.
