Maria Jose

I am a second year Liberal Arts student at Durham University, taking Visual Arts and Sociology. I enjoy practicing and studying languages, as well as travelling and learning about different cultures. I am a very sociable person, with a positive, growth mindset, and I am very keen on the organisation of both my work and my time.

Tutoring Experience

Teaching is something I have always enjoyed, and I have tutored an 8 year old in the past. This consisted mainly of helping them understand and complete their homework, as well as maintaining their focus. I found it extremely enjoyable and fulfilling.

Tutoring Approach

My approach focuses on fully adapting the content to the students' specific needs and strengths, as well as making the lessons as enjoyable as possible through the learning process. My aim is to provide support to the students outside the classroom, in order to give them confidence in the subject, hopefully making it more fun.
