Hello! I'm Maria, a professional and qualified MFL teacher with over a decade of experience in schools and at University level. My approach to teaching is entirely tailored to each student, ensuring that your unique learning style, goals, and pace are at the forefront of every lesson.

I have been living in the UK for 8 years now but I was born and raised in the beautiful region of Andalusia, Spain. Growing up in a hardworking, middle-class family, since the age of 15, I have taken on various jobs to help finance my education, an experience that has shaped my work ethic and drive.

My passion for languages started early. I have always believed that learning languages opens doors to new cultures and enhances travel experiences. That passion led me to pursue an International Baccalaureate, where I focused on Spanish language and culture, Latin, ancient Greek, literature, music, art, and languages like English and French. Today, I speak Spanish, Italian, French, and English, and I am currently learning German and Portuguese, with the goal of becoming fluent in six languages.

At 17, I moved to Granada to study for a degree in Modern Foreign Languages, specialising in Romance languages. My academic journey also took me to Florence on an Erasmus exchange, where I discovered my passion for teaching while working for the Town Hall of Florence as a Spanish teacher. From that moment on, teaching languages became my true calling.

Throughout my career, I've continued to develop my skills, earning diplomas in e-learning design, completing an International Master's Degree in Spanish Language, Literature, and Culture with an Honourable Mention. Additionally, I have become a certified DELE examiner through the Instituto Cervantes, allowing me to evaluate official Spanish language exams. Recently I have finished a CIPD Level 5 Diploma in Organisational Learning and Development to further advance my career in training at corporate level.

In 2017, I founded my own online language school, Language Me Online, which started in Liverpool but has since grown to reach students across 10 countries. I offer tailored lessons in Spanish, Italian, French, and English, as well as specialised courses such as business language training and exam preparation. My goal now is to continue expanding my services, collaborating with other talented teachers to ensure the highest quality education for our students.
