I am an ex primary headteacher who is passionate about education. When I retired I missed the classroom and went back into teaching gaining outstanding critiques. I also spent time mentoring teacher training students. I love tutoring and believe that learning should be fun. I therefore pride myself in making my sessions exciting for children. There is a great feeling of satisfaction seeing children progress. I have experience of all ages within the primary age range and both KS2 and KS1 Sats preparation . I have now just a couple of spaces left . I tutor from my home and provide a comfortable space for parents to wait if they would like
I have 36 years experience in Primary education. I have taught all ages within the primary age range.
i have been an outstanding teacher teaching on the outstanding teacher course . I have also taught in the teacher training department at Sheffield Hallam university helping student teachers with their classroom practice
I focus in on the skills that need development - personalise my session to each individual child and present the learning through fun and interactive games alongside work to consolidate learning. I believe sessions should be interactive fun and give clear outcomes and goals each session. Progress should be carefully monitored and specific needs pinpointed . A tailored plan to suit specific requirements should be outlined with a step by step approach to clear learning goals. Building confidence is crucial to good learning and this is paramount within my sessions
