After wanting to learn Spanish for a long while now. I eventually found Marcela and have been having lessons since October 2022.

Marcela is a very experienced tutor and has a very engaging and friendly way of teaching, going at your own pace. One of the benefits of using Marcela is that she is very flexible and can work around you.

I'll highly recommend using Marcela.

I chose Marcela to teach me Spanish, particularly Latin American Spanish as she is the ideal tutor to teach this form of the language, because she is originally from Columbia. Her tutoring will make my trips to South American countries so much easier.
She is also very well prepared, organised and punctual.

Marcela helps me learn at the appropriate speed, and takes great care to ensure I learn the specifics within Spanish that are most useful for me. She’s flexible with scheduling sessions and setting the right amount of work outside of lessons to fit in with my life. I’d recommend Marcela as a Spanish tutor!

Marcela was a good and competent teacher, with a perfect grasp of both English and of course Spanish, being her native language. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

I have had 3 lessons with Marcela now and I am thoroughly enjoying it. Marcela is very friendly and patient and has a lovely teaching manner which is helping me to understand the language.

Marcela is a wonderful teacher.
My husband and I booked 10 lessons with Marcela to learn a little bit of basic conversational Spanish to help us communicate whilst on a trip to Colombia last year.
We found the lessons so good and have enjoyed learning a second language so much that we decided to keep it up!
Marcela’s teaching approach is perfect and the lessons always feel fun, but informative. I can’t believe how much I’ve learnt in just 18 months!

I contacted Marcela on behalf of a family member to help them recover their knowledge of Spanish following a brain injury. This was intended as part of their overall rehabilitation and a way of gauging how capable they were of recovering old memories and learning new skills.

Despite the unusual situation, Marcela did an absolutely fantastic job during the course and has been an enormous benefit. Her experience in teaching Spanish and her background in psychology made her not only sensitive to the client's needs but insightful about how best to structure the course for them.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

We have been very pleased at the help for our daughter Hannah with her GSCE Spanish over the last 8 weeks. Hannah has gained a lot of confidence and knowledge going forward into her exams. Marcela has helped her immensely and tailored her teaching to Hannah' s learning needs. We are very grateful to her and the time and energy she has given her.

What can I say! A wonderful person and a wonderful teacher. Marcela listens to what you want to learn and deconstructs the spanish language to make it more understandable. I hope to find a new teacher as approachable and friendly as Marcela. Jon x

Lessons planned at a level appropriate to myself, often including topics of interest. Marcela gives encouragement during lessons and has a positive approach to her teaching. Have enjoyed having her as my tutor and introducing me to so many grammar rules :-)
