I'm Manuel and I live in Greater Manchester. I have lived in the UK for almost 6 years now. Originally from Barcelona, I moved in London first.
I would say I am a detail-oriented, structured and responsible person, someone who believes perseverance, hard work and continuous improvement are keys to success and for personal and professional growth.
I like coaching learners to support them in whatever goal they have in life.

Tutoring Experience

With 5 years of experience in tutoring in the UK, I have had the pleasure of supporting numerous students in their academic journeys. Therefore, I am well-equipped to coach students preparing for A-level or GCSE exams, 11+ tests, or those who are simply seeking to improve their grades. I am well-versed in various exam boards, including Edexcel, AQA, OCR, and Eduqas, and I use past papers and curriculum materials to prepare my lessons.

My professional experience out of First Tutors includes other tutoring platforms (1:1 lessons), teaching English to young international students (children and teenagers) in a summer camp at King's College London (Waterloo), and supporting students in various subjects at Colleges in London (mostly English language and Maths). Being part of the team at UK Colleges helped me to understand learners' difficulties and become familiar with the National Curriculum. Additionally, I have taught groups in language schools in London and Barcelona.

Tutoring Approach

As I believe that every student has unique needs and goals, I tailor my lessons to each individual to ensure that they receive the support and guidance necessary to achieve their objectives.
My ultimate goal is to increase students' confidence and challenge them to reach their full potential, ensuring progress is made.
My teaching style is engaging, enthusiastic and challenging, aimed at maximising students' learning potential. In order to do that, I use a range of materials to suit the level and goals of each student.
