English Tutoring in Tooting

Hello! My name is Malaaikah, and I teach English to students of all levels, whether it is for exams, revision, or if you are looking to build your fluency in English.

I have had a passion for English throughout my life and continued pursuing the subject at A Level and Degree level.

Growing up as an introvert, it is easy to fall behind in class especially when you’re too shy to ask for help or don't feel comfortable enough to ask for help. As a tutor, I hope to support all students who need an extra boost.

When I am not tutoring, I work as a Project Coordinator and enjoy spending my spare time reading and travelling whenever I have the opportunity.

Tutoring Experience

With 4 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor's degree in English, I have taught students from various backgrounds in person from my home and online. A couple of examples of some areas I teach are Primary/11+ English, GCSE English Language/Literature Revision, A Level English Literature, and Conversational English.

I specialise in providing one-to-one English lessons so that my students receive all the help they need from me.

Over the years, I have helped my students achieve their goals and gain confidence in English, which has resulted in many achievements, including admissions into Private Schools and Russell Group Universities.

Tutoring Approach

I cater to each of my students' needs when teaching and plan my lessons accordingly. I make sure to curate lessons based on what my students struggle with.

For example, some students have difficulty planning essays. Therefore, those lessons would focus on how to write solid essay plans. I try to make my lessons as enjoyable as possible for my students but I also make sure to provide lessons that directly contribute to my students' progress, such as topics they are working on in class, specific subject areas they need to know for their exams and preparing exam paper questions.
