Maja has been excellent tutor and such a positive influence on our daughter. She has helped our daughter hugely by clearly and calmly explaining complex topics by breaking them down into manageable building blocks and then finding routes to explain things in such a way that unlocks these topics in our daughter’s mind. They then work together to build on these foundations to tackle the more tricky areas of Higher Maths. Most importantly though Maja has helped to rebuild our daughter’s confidence with maths which had taken a severe knock, by encouraging her to ask and talk about anything that is bothering her in the certain knowledge that she is safe to do so without being judged and confidence is half the battle. Maja is a thorough, meticulous, patient and a very experienced tutor who knows how to tailor the lessons to pupils' individual needs. My son has very high expectations of himself and Maja has certainly managed to help him fulfil those in his maths assessments. The 'proof in the pudding' is yet to come as he has not sat his final Nat5 exam, but if the starter, i.e. the prelim, is anything to go by, he will have exceeded his expectations! In just a few weeks of lessons, he raised his grade from an upper B to an A1. Maja is also flexible and it is easy to arrange or make up classes, if one needs to miss any.
