I am a second year BA English and Drama student at the University of Exeter. I am a warm and compassionate professional, dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children. I am a natural people person with a genuine passion for fostering a kind, nurturing and supportive environment for learning. Alongside my passion for English and Drama, I also love music and the performing arts, and have lots of experience singing in choirs and volunteering with drama youth groups. I believe in incorporating these passions into my teaching, encouraging a space which allows for creativity, individuality and confidence.
I have 2 years of experience working as a tutor, both online and in person on a one-to-one basis. Alongside this, I also have experience leading drama groups for children ages 4-16, organising and leading classes for 25+ children in a fun, engaging and creative way.
I have a passion for encouraging creativity in education, and helping young people's individuality thrive. I believe in nurturing a supportive and non-judgemental environment, where students aren't afraid to ask questions or to get things wrong. I am approachable, open-hearted, and friendly, and I genuinely care and invest in every child I meet. I believe I bring a unique blend of empathy, interpersonal skills, and enthusiasm to my teaching, and this, alongside my experience in the performing arts, allows me to create meaningful connections that spark creativity and confidence and contribute to the well-being and development of children in any setting.
