A University student, resat A levels in the Covid year and received 3A*s in Biology,Chemistry and Math, studying Medicine at the University of Liverpool
I am a dedicated and motivated person that comes from a family of people working in the healthcare and living in such an environment motivated me to follow into the same career line with a sheer passion . Over the years, I took part in various extracurricular activities and have done a lot of work experience which allowed me to build on my communication and punctuality and thus, be a better tutor. I have always been quite passionate about teaching and have taught the mentioned subjects, previously, to multiple students. This allowed them to excel and eventually achieve the grades they aimed for and higher.
Alongside this, I feel as though I can better understand any concerns or questions pupils might have as it was not long ago when I was in their position. I too have studied the newer specification for GCSE's and so I am more in touch with the knowledge and types of questions it requires.
I did my GCSE's in the year of 2018 and received 3(8s), 3(7's), 3(6's) and a Merit in the subject Cambridge Nationals. These grades would translate to 3(A*'s), 3(A's), 3(B's) in the previous specifications
Biology- 7(A)
Chemistry-8(A*)
Physics-8(A*)
Urdu-(A*) (previous spec)
I am quite interested in gaming, the outdoors and gym. I like to keep myself busy with activities such as running skipping etc. I do play quite a lot of sports and always have alongside my education and it has allowed me to be able to handle my academic and social life alongside one another and be able to build on both simultaneously.
I have 3+ years of experience. in the last 2 years however, I started tutoring on a bigger scale and managed to teach multiple students and assist them in achieving their target grades and higher. I have previously assisted students in achieving multiple A*s all the way from B's. alongside this I was able to assist students in excelling in their mocks and tests to be able to achieve the predicted grades they needed for sixth form and college applications. I was quite successful at this and during my time I had acceptances from over 6 sixth forms and colleges myself, therefore I know and understand the pressures of the system as I have been there not long ago.
My teaching style is adaptable to the way the student wishes to learn, I understand that everyone has different ways of learning and I do take that into account, I prefer knowing the content to teach before hand in order to prepare the lesson and do bring a questions when it comes to tough concepts that require testing.
I do encourage the students to ask questions and make notes as those are very good ways to learn. I assist the students whenever they need help and do make sure they can tackle questions they feel difficulty in as exam technique is very important.
Mostly, the guardians of the students prefer to have a ready made schedule planned that can be followed through when taught. I like to adhere to this. When asked for on request, it is ready after the second lesson, once I have a good hold on understanding the student's way or learning and abilities.
