Hello! I am Madelyn and I am excited to help you reach your English language goals. I was born in the US but immigrated to the UK six years ago, meaning I have a strong understanding of both American and British English.

Tutoring Experience

I have a Doctorate and a Masters in English Literature from the University of Stirling, and have been tutoring students 1:1 on academic writing and reading comprehension skills for four years. I also have experience teaching reading skills to students in primary school, and have a CELTA certification for teaching English as a Foreign Language.

Tutoring Approach

All my classes are centred around the needs and goals of the student, with an emphasis on helping grow your strengths and overcoming your weaknesses. My experience tutoring a wide range of ages and skill levels in all aspects of the English language means I have many different techniques to help you achieve your goals.
