I have been teaching Economics and Business Studies for 20 years in both the state and independent sectors and am currently Head of Department in. I live in Bath and have worked in each role for around 10 years and now am stepping back to offer more private tutoring.
I have taught at A -level and GCSE in both Economics and Business and I have also marked and offered feedback on EPQ's. I am currently teaching Edexcel Economics A at A-level and Edexcel Business A level and AQA Business studies GCSE. I have tutored recently in AQA Economics and have been tutoring across both subjects on and off for 10 years.
I work with pupils to gain an understanding of how they see the economy and the markets within it by chatting through relevant news and issues. This would then lead to more formal theory explanation and diagram practice. Then we would work together to construct ' perfect ' answers to illustrate the importance of not only excellent theoretical understanding but also of exam technique and application to the data offered. It is also important for pupils to complete their own answers which I am willing to feedback on. To break things up there are also a myriad of online quizzes and exercises that can be used too.
