I am a 38 year old teacher living in Bristol. My decision to concentrate on tutoring was prompted by my wish to spend more time with my wife and newborn son!
Prior to becoming a teacher I worked for 11 years in the Energy industry, including 5 years for a German company and 5 months in Paris. My move to teaching was driven by an urge to use my French and a desire to share my passion for the language with young people.
I am a PGCE and QTS qualified teacher of Modern Foreign Languages. I trained and worked in Gloucestershire. I also hold a BA Hons degree in French and History from the University of Birmingham.
I am fortunate to have been brought up in a bilingual household thanks to my French mum and speak French and English interchangeably.
I always start with one free lesson for any individual. This allows me to check the student's level and discuss their aspirations.
This session also allows both parties to check it is a good fit before agreeing to continue. I then can go away and create a suitable approach for learning and tailor resources accordingly.
Happy to work with all beginners, casual learners, those who want to have conversational French, KS3, GCSE, A-level and University students
