Lucy listens carefully to what we would like to get out of a French lesson and is a kind and engaging teacher.

Lucy is currently tutoring my daughter Spanish, and has been doing so for a year. My daughter began learning Spanish in Year 7. When 'lock-down' occurred her school made changes to her curriculum and my daughter had to stop studying Spanish at school and take up Mandarin. My daughter wanted to study GCSE Spanish in Year 10 so we found Lucy on FirstTutors and continued with Spanish at home. Lucy is thorough in her teaching style and professional in approach. She has a good understanding of the KS3 curriculum and has taught my daughter to speak Spanish with confidence. My daughter loves Spanish even more and talks to us in Spanish at home. Lucy has identified the gaps in my daughters' knowledge and plugged them, she provides me with feedback on my daughters' progress and needless to say my daughters' secondary school have permitted her to study GCSE Spanish despite my daughter not studying it at school for 2 Years. We are very happy and intend to continue with Lucy through to GCSE.

Lucy is my daughter's tutor for GCSE Spanish. My daughter looks forward to her lesson each week and says she learns more from her lesson with Lucy than she does at school. She is feeling more confident in her Spanish and it is improving her performance in class at school.

I cannot recommend Lucy enough.
We are learning Spanish at the ages of 34 and 42, with no previous knowledge. Neither of us are quick learners. My partners first language is Hebrew and he has ADHD and Lucy has been so patient with us and kept us interested and we have learnt alot quicker than we thought we would. We really have fun in our lessons and Lucy is great at adapting our sessions to suit what is best for our learning styles.

Lucy was very quick to respond to my enquiry which i made for a colleague, she asked lots of questions to make sure she could tailor make her lessons to fit her relevant requirements. My colleague thoroughly enjoyed her first lesson and came away very enthusiastic for more.

Lucy has really has made it easy to go back to learning. She is very friendly and professional. My husband and i are not the best students but she is patience and understanding.

The lessons are good fun, we have a giggle and also learn the language in a useful way. Not just repeating verb formats.

Lucy tutored Phebe, my daughter, for her Spanish GCSE (unavailable in School). We cannot recommend her highly enough. She is very professional, yet informal and easy-going. She related extremely well to Phebe - who says her sessions were fun and interesting, whilst she also ensured that the Board specification was comprehensively covered. Consequently, Phebe sat her exams confidently - looking forward to them and even enjoying them! Phebe is now really positive about progressing onto Spanish 'A' Level at Sixth Form. This wouldn't have been possible without Lucy, and we hope to maintain her Tutor input simply because she's brilliant!

Since I've been attending Lucy's classes I have progressed very quickly with my Spanish. I feel challenged on the right level for me which motivates me even more. Classes are always prepared well and are fun. Lucy is flexible with times which makes it easier to fit in to my busy schedule. I have already recommended her to my friends and I'm very great full for her help.

Thank you Lucy for all of your help, I feel so much more confident speaking in Spanish. Your teaching methods have suited my preferred ways to learn perfectly, I have never had formal language teaching before and I have seen such an improvement in these last few weeks and I hope to continue to improve!
