Tutoring Experience

I have 12 years of teaching experience which includes teaching all three sciences (biology, chemistry and physics) in secondary schools, literacy and numeracy to adults and my current role is a lecturer of chemistry at a university. I have had other responsibilities in my teaching career which involved planning and delivering training to aspiring teachers and mentoring newly qualified teachers. I am also a GCSE exam marker for a well-known exam board that many schools use for their assessments. This helps me to prepare students to apply their theory to exam questions and for students to acquire skills in exam technique.

Tutoring Approach

My focus is to guide and facilitate the learning to increase students' confidence. No student is the same, so being able to adapt and create different ways to impart knowledge is the art of a teacher.
