Bonjour, je m’appelle Lucie. I was born and grew up in the Loire Valley, France, and also studied in France. I have been living in the UK for the last 20 years, where I studied, and then worked for 15 years for international organisations.

Thanks to the pandemic, I made a career change to become a full time teacher of French, and this is thanks to all my students, who have always praised my work.

I started teaching French, when I first moved to the UK as an au pair and, whilst studying and working. This helped me better understand both the English and French languages and their respective difficulties. Living abroad, both in the UK and Germany, made foreign languages more real for me and was an opportunity to learn the language skills for everyday life, and business English skills I hadn’t really learnt at school. I can put myself in the learner’s shoes and this helps me in making it my mission to teach in the most ludic ways to make learning French fun.

EXAM PREP
Preparing for French language exams, whether it’s DELF/DALF, GCSE, A Level, or other French language certification exams, requires a structured and personalised approach. From A1 to C2, each level assesses different linguistic skills, from comprehension to written and oral expression.

As a coach, my role is to guide you through this process. I assess your current level and help you set clear, measurable goals to strengthen your skills and overcome any challenges in each section of the exam. With tailored support and targeted strategies, you’ll build confidence and achieve the results you’re aiming for.
