Hi, I'm Louise! I am an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ teacher, with extensive experience of guiding students through the necessary skills required to progress in GCSE/iGCSE Mathematics.

During my time as a Lead Practitioner of Mathematics and Specialist Leader of Education, I have been privileged to work with a wide range of students and have always enjoyed supporting individuals to reach their full potential. During my time in the classroom, I have built excellent relationships with my pupils and have a strong track record of supporting students to achieve outstanding results at GCSE which exceed their expected levels of progress.

Tutoring Experience

I am a former Lead Practitioner of Mathematics and Specialist Leader of Education with over 15 years of teaching experience. My extensive teaching experience means I am familiar with common misconceptions in Maths as well as the techniques required to succeed in exams.  My mathematics tuition is therefore closely focussed on targeting key topics to build confidence and working on exam technique. I have worked with many students with a variety of abilities. I am particularly skilled in helping students prepare for GCSE/iGCSE examinations. During my time in the classroom, I have built excellent relationships with my pupils and have a strong track record of supporting students to achieve outstanding results at GCSE/iGCSE which exceed their expected levels of progress.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach aims to motivate students and build confidence into every student by showing them how the topics they learn translate into exam questions. All work is marked at regular intervals during sessions, so students always have the opportunity to receive feedback, check their progress, understand how to correct their mistakes and can seek further guidance, where necessary. I have also been appointed as an Assessment Associate for a major UK exam board.

I am currently offering online tuition to international students preparing for iGCSE/GCSE Maths exams. I offer bespoke 1:1 tuition as well as also running online group courses for students working towards specific grades for their examinations.
