I am a 20 year old undergraduate, currently studying Physics at the University of Manchester. I have acquired grade A* in both Maths and Physics at GCSE and A-level. I enjoy helping others to improve in all areas of these subjects, and I'm able to teach early secondary, GCSE, and A-level Maths and Physics.
I've previously provided private tutoring in Maths and Physics around Winchester, teaching early secondary and GCSE content. I can offer references from those I've tutored.
I take a very flexible approach to tutoring, and I will tailor it to each student, depending on what is most helpful for their learning. I've found that setting questions for students to answer before a session, then combing through any problems they experienced, helps identify the weaker areas of their knowledge, allowing them to more effectively refine their skills. Above all, I believe listening to the student is the best way to begin teaching - instead of forcing the syllabus on them, I will let them speak at length about what they struggle with, and decide how I can make the time they spend learning with me as valuable as possible. Generally I will look through their required learning and estimate how much time should be allocated to each part (obviously putting more emphasis on what they find most difficult).
