I am a PhD student in Foundational Artificial Intelligence at UCL. I completed my MSc in Statistics and BSc in Mathematics at Imperial College London. In the past it has been my pleasure to pass on what I have learned during my studies. If wanted I can also tutor in German.
I am experienced tutoring A-Levels, and University both MSc and BSc modules in Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science.
I believe that it is important for the student to enjoy learning. I am very passionate about mathematics and try to bring this passion across to the student. In my approach to tutoring, I consider every student as an individual and tailor my tutorials to their needs to ensure the best progress. I think it is very important to keep the bigger picture in mind and be aware of the connections between different topics. By learning in that way the students acquire transferrable skills, which are most useful for solving an unseen question, eg in an exam.
When sitting an exam, preparation is key. Being well prepared makes you feel more confident and hence more likely to live up to your full potential. This is why I think it is best to regularly do a past paper during exam preparation and work on problems to practice and get familiar with the types of questions.
I am happy to set problems for the student to do over the week and then start the tutorial by discussing those if this is something that would be helpful.
