I am a graduate with a 1st class honours degree in Mathematics from the University of Kent and I've always been passionate about numbers and problem-solving. I have a strong academic foundation and a successful career as a Senior Tech Consultant at IBM. Throughout my career and academic experience, I've been able to develop excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which will enable me to connect with students of all ages and backgrounds.
I have experience in tutoring Foundation year students at University during my academic years and I also have mentored many interns and graduates during my years at IBM. The breadth of skills I've developed really allow me to identify knowledge gaps and create learning plans that are personalised to a student's strengths and weaknesses.
I completely believe that anyone is capable of developing a skill, if they put enough time and dedication into it, but the best way to match that, is to ensure that you have a right teacher or manager. My teaching approach is centred around creating an inclusive learning environment that challenges the student's creativity and critical thinking. I believe that every student learns differently, and I'm often described as very patient, which allows me understand each student's learning style and goals.
