I am a creative, calm, patient teacher and I always build a strong, friendly and supportive rapport with my students. I have a 100% pass rate with my students and we always strive to achieve their highest possible potential. If they work hard then there is nothing stopping them with my methods.

I have spent over 16 years working in schools, with colleges and with university students, I have a wealth of experience in tutoring and I have successfully enabled hundreds of students to enter their dream courses at university and helped some of those through their first couple of years at university too.

My students are taught how to learn, when to learn and I also teach the importance of downtime and planning for that so that we can be as prepared and relaxed for our assessments as possible.

Tutoring Experience

My Degree, in Science + QTS, has trained me to teach all science to the national curriculum and up to key stage 4\GCSE, my elected specialism is in physics and biology which I am qualified to teach to key stage 5\A level. I am currently working as a full time tutor. I have had over 16 years experience and worked in 5 different schools.

My expertise is in the following subjects and levels:
Key Stage 3 Science.
GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
A-level Biology.
Essay preparation for the AQA A level Biology Paper 3.
A-level Chemistry.
Advice with writing UCAS personal statements , applications, references and anything else linked with higher education.

Tutoring Approach

I offer a supportive, friendly and professional approach to tutoring my students.

I have been an examiner for a number of years and spent the entirety of my teaching career preparing students for their exams, this offers me a unique insight into what the examiners are looking for in an exam paper and how to train and prepare for that with my students.
