I am a gap year student looking to help any students struggling with Maths, English or Biology, having just completed them at A level (A*A*A). I also achieved high 9s in each subject at GCSE in 2023. Having completed each qualification recently I am familiar with the curriculum and have insights regarding the best methods to achieve top grades.

Tutoring Experience

I am a tutor for a GCSE student. With my help he has seen great improvements in his performance on topic tests. I have also completed a peer mentor training course in which I developed excellent communication skills and a calm manner, allowing me to support all students throughout their studies. Now that I have completed exams and I am on my gap year I have more time to take on extra students.

Tutoring Approach

I follow a method advised by Elevate Education. Following these steps helped me achieve consistently high grades throughout school. 1. Ensure the content is understood. 2. Memorise the content in line with the student's preferred learning style. 3. Testing your knowledge of the content topic by topic, pausing and taking time to smooth over any gaps in the syllabus. 4. Practice papers, going over each mistake made in a constructive manner whilst also practising time management.
