I'm a mum of two kids in Colchester, both very bright but their neurodiversity means parenting needs an individual approach. I'm flexible and good at thinking outside the box but I really care about helping kids achieve their best potential.
All my experience as an educator is unconventional. I have been volunteering at an historical education project for over 30 years, teaching children and adults about daily life in the past. As a professional I have delivered training in a variety of subjects, mostly to do with historic buildings. My speciality is in making technical or complex things easy to understand for complete beginners.
I like to make learning fun, because if people are having fun they're ready to learn. We won't be at a desk for long, because people learn best when they're engaged, but we'll get the written work done too, once I'm confident that my student really understands.
