I'm a Scottish Saxophonist/Clarinettist working and living in Glasgow. I studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland for 6 years, gaining First Class Bachelor and Masters degrees in performance. I have been freelancing for a number of years with national ensembles such as the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and work regularly as a chamber musician and soloist. I have extensive teaching experience teaching all ages, from early primary school up to retired adults. I currently hold positions at Hamilton College School (Saxophone) and Wellington School (Woodwind).
I teach in a methodical manner which takes into account the student's goals and interests. I'm particularly skilled at teaching students how to practise efficiently, which is essential for their development in - between lessons.
I also offer students the opportunity to update me on their progress in - between lessons if desired, and will address any issues they have in order to keep them working productively in-between lessons.
