I am a 2nd year Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Bath and I am eager to help other students succeed in their chosen fields of study and find an appreciation for their subjects along the way!

Tutoring Experience

Throughout college I volunteered to work in a maths workshop where I taught other students and helped with any areas of the subject they were finding challenging.

Tutoring Approach

I admire the showing and not telling approach to tutoring, in which I will ask the student pointed questions about their work to get an idea of their capabilities and areas they are struggling with, and with that information I would nudge them in the right direction from which they can get to the right answer, rather than giving them all the answers outright! I believe this is an effective method of teaching, as the student would feel accomplished in having got there themselves with a little help from me!
