I am an acting graduate from Drama St Mary's University in London, I graduated with a first class degree. Currently I work in the pastoral department at a secondary school, I work with children from the age of 11-16. I regularly have 1-1 mentoring sessions with the pupils, these sessions are to help enhance their mental well-being and behaviour at school. I like to involve myself in the drama department, this includes directing and casting the school performances.
I have taught drama in numerous settings such as 'Camp America', I spent two summers working on theater productions with primary aged children. Another teaching experience was with a theater company called 'Manic Chord Theater', I supported individuals aged 15-18 with their new upcoming project, my role also involved co-directing. I have been babysitting and childminding since a very young age, whilst living in London my childminding duties included supporting with homework, mentoring and rehearsing for school productions.
My tutoring sessions have a very similiar structure to my lessons. I plan a starter activity to recall prior knowledge, and always highlight the learning objectives to ensure that the learning is focused. My aim is to create fun activities and we always end the session with a related game. We will have a plenary to assess learning.
