I am currently studying a Masters degree in Theoretical Physics at Kings College London, having graduated from Durham university with a First Class Honors degree in Mathematics. I love Maths and hope to inspire younger students. I have been a tutor for four years and my most recent experience was as a full time counsellor at a Science summer camp for children aged 8 to 16. I am very experienced at working with children and at explaining mathematical ideas.
I have been tutoring GCSE maths and pre-GCSE or key stage 3 maths since 2021. This summer (2024) I worked for 8 weeks as a full time counsellor at a Science summer camp that taught children fun ideas in science. At my school I was a mentor for Maths and I ran the Junior Science club for younger years. I have been praised for my ability to explain concepts by many clients.
My teaching approach is that no question should go unanswered. Your child will not be afraid to ask me questions that perhaps they can't ask teachers at school. I am patient and willing to go over issues as long as needed and am very good at reading when a student needs more explanation. I am also meticulous and organised in everything I do and plan lessons in the same way.
