With over 10 years of experience, I have had the privilege of teaching students of all ages, from 8-year-olds to adults. My passion for education comes from a deep love of helping others succeed and grow, both academically and personally. As a tutor and parent, I understand the importance of adapting teaching methods to fit each individual's unique learning style.
My goal is to ensure that my students thrive, make outstanding progress, and gain confidence in their abilities. Whether you're looking for help with maths in general or are preparing for exams, I'm here to guide and support you every step of the way.
I specialise in mathematics across various levels, from primary to advanced. I have successfully helped Year 6 students achieve accelerated progress, with many passing their SATs confidently. My experience extends to teaching secondary GCSE maths, where I’ve consistently improved students' grades by up to 3 levels. I also have a strong passion for higher-level mathematics, having taught A level maths and contributed to a research project with the University of Cambridge, exploring the best methods for teaching advanced topics.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, my online lessons were recognised as examples of best practice, and I’ve continued to refine my online teaching methods to provide an exceptional learning experience.
In addition to this, I’ve guided numerous students through 11+ preparation, with many receiving multiple offers from prestigious schools. I also enjoy helping students prepare for maths challenges, such as Kangaroo Maths, encouraging them to explore mathematics beyond the standard curriculum.
My teaching approach is centered on kindness, patience, and flexibility. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my methods to suit their individual needs, ensuring they feel confident and enjoy each session. I break down complex problems into small, manageable steps, making challenging concepts easier to grasp. Building a strong rapport with my students is important to me, as it creates a positive and supportive learning environment where they can thrive and achieve their best.
