Hi, I am a qualified teacher with 8 years experience of tutoring ages 5-14 in English and Maths as well as GCSE English Language. I am a creative, positive and caring person and I feel my speciality is in bringing out the fun in learning and building up confidence in my students. I also have a good knowledge of Dyslexia strategies and have recently been working in a private dyslexia specialist school.

Since Covid I have adapted to working online and have found it so successful and convenient for myself and the parents and engaging for my students that I have decided to continue online indefinitely.

I am happy to take on international students, adult learners and those in home education during daytime slots and have a limited amount of after-school sessions too.

My general rate is £25 p/h and school pick ups/extra childcare can be negotiated at additional fees.

Special Offers:
• Book extra sessions during the school holidays or extra sessions for siblings for a reduced rate of £20 p/h.
• Receive one session at half price for each successfully referred client, so spread the word!

Availability:
My due date for my baby boy is 26th Nov 2013 so I would probably not be able to work for 1 week prior and 6 weeks after. Around this period it may be easiest for any private tutoring to take place in my home but generally I am happy to work at the clients address or my own, whichever suits (travel expense may apply depending on distance.)

Tutoring Approach

I pride myself on having a fun, stimulating and very interactive approach to teaching which builds confidence, interest and determination in my pupils. I have been tutoring since Sept 2013 and absolutely love it! It is such a great opportunity to personalise learning and get to know my tutees, without the usual distractions and pressures of a busy classroom.
