Hi my name is Laura i am a 34 year old Primary School teacher. I love working with children and helping them progress and achieve their potential. I have been a tutor for over 6 years helping a variety of different aged children reach their potential. I come from a creative background and have a Fine Art Degree, i like to make learning fun and enjoyable as this is how it should be. I believe in challenge and look forward to helping more children with their learning.
I have been teaching for 10 years. I have taught Reception , KS1 and KS2 . I love EYFS as it is the basis of learning to read and write and it is wonderful watching the children confidence grow. I work in an EAL school and have a lot of experience in teaching children who don't speak english.
I believe that tutoring and prove tuition can make a big difference. My dad has been a Maths tutor for over 20 years and has helped many people achieve their true potential. I love teaching and really enjoy my job and want to take my practice further. Within EYFS it is a lot of small group work and often i work with children 1:1 , during this time i can really discover the best way to help them learn and give them my full attention. My approach is tutoring is that i really want to make a difference and help your child over come any misconceptions and make them feel confident. I always make learning enjoyable and fun and can't wait to take my teacher practice to a new level.
