I am currently PT English at a school in Glasgow City Council. I have a Master of Arts in English studies,PGDE and fully GTCS registered. I studied at the University of Strathclyde for my BA, and University of Sheffield for my MA and returned to Strathclyde University to complete my PGDE. I have extensive experience teaching the full National 5 and Higher curriculum, and am a marker for National 5 Critical Reading and Folio papers.

Tutoring Experience

I have tutored on a one-to-one basis since my second year at university. All of my tutees have gone on to achieve great results in National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher English.

Tutoring Approach

I prefer an open approach to tutoring. The first session is usually a get to know you session, in which I will read and evaluate some of your work and will let you, if you wish, see some of my own work. I build the structure around what it is that you want to focus on, and I am very open to receiving and reading work through the week if you need to me to look over something you have done.
